Perhaps a reason raking to the front isn't good...

I've noticed that if I brake sufficiently hard in my car it's possible to take a lot of weight off the back tires, which makes it really easy to drift. Started thinking and if I'm having a lot of weight transfer forward, then it's because the rake to the front is causing the front wheels to carry more weight than the rear ones, some of this was improved by making the front dampers stiffer, but i wonder if i need to lower the rear more or raise the front too...

Not that drifting is bad, I was just surprised to be able to get the little datsun doing a full on drift at speed, between braking and downshifting to second gear I got the back end to totally kick out at about 40mph... yeah WTH did I expect to happen doing that. I'm just thinking about how to mess with that handling characteristic.

That's an interesting situation. I suppose if you had more weight on the back you could break harder without the back wheels coming off the ground. I know from riding dirt bikes that the most efficient braking comes when the back wheel is just about to come into the air, because as the wheel comes up into the air, you loose your mechanical advantage as the centre of gravity moves forward.
