Gday,

Alright lads the Bathurst Speed Weekend is coming up. For those who dont know it is a supersprint one day and hillclimb the next, held at Mt Panorana.

web site

So who is keen to go? We could make it a mini dat1200 nats. Those who arnt competing should come and watch. It gives everyone a date to aim for to get their projects going as well!

I have a friend with a farm about 20 mins away from Bathurst, so I may be able to con him into letting us camp in a nice grassy spot beside the river.

I am planning on having the thousand ready to rumble.

Sounds like something i would like to do...It said on the web site, supersprint on Saturday and Hillclimb on Sunday. Dose that mean that you get to do full timed laps of Bathurst on the Saturday?
If this is the case, and i still own my race car i'm very keen..

Sorry boys but no full laps for you. Supersprint is the Caltex chase one where you start waaaayyy back on Conrod Straight and finish on pit straight. It has supersprint status as two cars will take to the track at the same time.
I hope to be there - to try and better the infamous Bennygate incident last year (or the year before ) and to hopefully watch Harry take another of BLCC's trophies - Priceless
Cheers

I'm sure with Harry's new weapon that trophy's will surely head his way, but will we see Andrew in his new weapon? And will your mate with the civic come again Harry? Will Benny be ALLOWED to compete EVER again( and will the coupe even start?) Will I need to bring a wheel brace when the officials upset you again Bro? Ahhh so many great memories! I'll be there!!

never a dull moment at Bathurst eh?

I'd love to come back again this year if the budget will stretch that far. Depends whether I go to NZ in November. I'll need to replace the broken 4.1 if I come down for this.

Do you guys know which hillclimb they're using this year?

I'm keen to know more boys! Where the details ?? I mean dates, cost, application form, etc. Its been way too long since the 1000 has seen a track. Hehe, I'd better go work out what was broke last time it raced. I always wanted to race at bathurst. Its such a shame its not the full circuit! Can someone fill me in on the exact start and stop locations for the s/sprint and hillclimb? Is it a bit short and poxy or is it really worth the money and effort to get there??
