Next weekend some of the best Improved Production racecars from around the country will be racing at Morgan Park, trying to beat the track record held by Steve Drahiem's Datsun 1200 coupe!

Steve's 1200 will be racing as well, being steered by Luke Marenelli.

There will be all sorts of cars coming including a couple of GTRs, lots of mazdas and Datsuns and a few V8s as well.

The Nationals don't come up here very often, so its a good chance to go and see some high quality club racing, and a very fast 1200

got it slightly wrong. Steve's 1200 has the 3000-6000cc record, outright is held by a 2001-3000 rotary:

Hi L18_B110,
I've ventured up into your territory!! I'm in Toowoomba right now and last weekend I spend a good thirty minutes driving around Standthorpe looking for the track. I still haven't found it. I've also seen a road sign for Pittsworth but no distance was displayed. I was wondering where these tracks are and more importantly where Morgan Park is.

Hey Daniel, how long are you in the sunny state for?We have Mt.Cotton hillclimb on Sunday. The Stanthorpe track is known as Carnell raceway, travelling thru town towards Sydney, turn left at the Holden dealer, cross the railway line, turn right about 1/4 mile further on (there is a sign Carnell raceway)stay on this road (it turns to gravel not for long)you will hit the front fence of the track.Warwick (Morgan Park)on New England Hwy.still in restricted zone heading to Sydney turn left at BIG roundabout heading for stockyards(think it's morgan park signposted,i go in a differant way)turn right at next roundabout, between transport depot and tyre dealer, theres a race car prep shop on your right a few buildings up.Morgan Park entrance about one click further up on your right. The Equine centre is first(twisty road all the way) then an 1/8 mile drag strip then the race track(all on right)

Lets know if you need more info on any thing Cheers Rob

would be good to meet up while you're up here if you have time. would be cool if you can make it into Brisbane for the Hillclimb on this Sunday.

Morgan Park at Warwick is only about 45min from Toowoomba I guess. Head into Warwick and continue through town onthe Cunningham Hwy towards Sydney. Just as you are leaving town you'll see signposts for Morgan Park on the left.

This is the track's website, but it doesn't have a map on how to get there...

...my last uni exam will be about a week before the Bathurst weekend. I rate myself a 50% chance of making it. I've said that a few times this year and not made it, but I'm hoping this will be different. I simply can't go a whole year without kicking her over!
