smash in an A12 gearbox, the clutch will like you..

I think the Dissy wire is long enough...

Yeh run a 1200 box. You will blow up the old a10 box in no time! To make that fit you need to do some gentle masaging to the tunnel and use a 1200 clutch cable. People say you need the 45deg thing on the firewall for the cable... but i got away without it.

Height wise, you cant run a 1200 frypan, thats about it, and other highish filters will foul!

Ask Dodgeman.
He installed a A12GX motor and a datsun 5 speed gearbox.
Think it was a 60A series gearbox. Can't really remember.

make sure that you fit the engine far enough back otherwise the belhousing will fowl on the steering arms. That almost caught me out...

I've got two thou's with A14's - here's a list of woes I've come accross.

Gearbox - it's the biggest one as beattie has mentioned the tunnel up near the firewall needs some gentle massaging to allow the 1200 clutch cable to oppereate freely.
You can get away with a A10 box but i found even moderate driving caused slipage in the clutch after a while it's just so small!. Using a 1200 box negates the need to machine imput shaft as well!

The air filter will foul, I cut down the lip of the oringinal pan on one and used a thinner filter and it cleared - just! or as mentioned go aftermarket - or go sidedraft........you know you want to!

No bonnet clearance issues here!!

Engine mounts - the thou has funny angled mounts which are bloody hard to replace - if you can modify the bracket from the engine to accept 1200 mounts your winning before you know it!

I used a A12 dizzy on the A14 all wiring was the same as far as I can remeber.

Good luck!

some vannettes had an a15, and the last of the sunnys i believe.

Yeah and Kue, I gotta come over and visit to get a good look at how you have made the engine mounts and gearbox mounts. If you dont mind that is.

And I love sideys. They just do it for me every time, but EFI is just that one better
