got a datsun 1200 from a dad's mate, sitting in the back of his yard for about 7 years. picked it up for $300, complete motor and gear box, everything working except for the fact there is no brakes. the back end of the ute is rusted, so we are just going to use a 9" angle grinder to cut it off, and attach a customized steel checker plate mini 1 tonner tray on the back to reinforce the strength again. i am not sure how old it is either as its in transport at the moment, but the speedo was in MPH, no circles, just rectangle dash. so it must be pretty old? also does anyone have a turbo for an A14 motor in good nick? i missed out on one on ebay the other day

By the way, car rules state that you cannot make any altercations to the body of your vehicle. so i am aware that i will have to be careful switching the trays, but i want to flare the guards and have a customized scoop just for looks. any ways of getting round these rules? legally that is..
