Hello everyone. Can someone tell me what is the practical result of doing this? is it power gain? I`m sorry for the stupid question but i don`t understand anything about mechanics.

less to spin so it revs more but gain some hp but lose torque to my understanding? anyone verify this for me?

lightening flywheel aids in reducing weight the motor has to spin, saving in wasting hp/kw to get the car moving.
basically means the motor will rev a little quicker, and be more responsive.
on the downside the reduction of weight will detract from the engines ability to "coast" as the lighter flywheel takes alot less to stop spinning. the heavier fly will continue to spin longer.

hope this makes it a little clearer ??

cheers,

edit : didn't bother on the torque bit as the lil' ol A series dont really have alot to start with but yes there will be a loss in torque. it will be harder to do a burnout with a lighter fly as the spinning inertiaa of the lighter fly will bog down alot quicker then the heavier one.
