OK, I've finished painting my 1200 sedan, fitted the rear window back in easy as pie with a piece of cord, but the front with the bloody locking strips is another story!
I can put the screen in fine without the strips.
If I put the strips in with my home made locking strip insert tool (ie: bent up piece of wire in a diamond shape)...
...before putting the seal on the glass, they fall out.
....after putting the seal on the glass but before putting the lot into the car, they fall out.
...after it is in the car it is bloody impossible to put the strips in.
So, when am I supposed to put the strips in? I believe it would be at the last step as they "lock" it in, yeah?
Where can I get a real Locking Strip Insert Tool from in Australia, perhaps my DIY one isn't upto it when the thing is tighter?
I refuse to pay Obriens or any similar mob more than I initially paid for the car to put the *^@!ing things in, I've done every other bloody job on this car myself/with friends so I don't want to start paying people to do #### now.
