hi all,
Chris. WA cruise organiser. suggested this might be the correct place for this post (was over on the ozdat page) so here goes and thanx chris.
in need of some help please .....
my mum has finally taken the hint and hung up her driving mits (after years of hassling from yours truly)
she had an argument with a coles underground car park wall, fortunately it's just her pride severely damaged.
so it's my job to try and put it in the right hands (no dealers)

people like col crawford have had their beady eyes on it for decades and she used to get stopped every time she went out by appreciative enthusiasts. reckon it might be collectible to the right person.

so, i realise this may not be the best forum to ask but you gotta start somewhere right?

1. where is the best place to find the right buyer? ebay? trader mags? online forums like this?
2. would you fix the damage first or sell as is (drivers side only, it is driveable and register'd)
3. what is a reasonable $ value? is a red book value about right?

anything else you can think of apart from taking it down to the local tip would be appreciated

cheers

Ozbiker

I'd throw up a photo or two on here basically to get the word out' if nothing else the 1K guys on here should be able to assess what it's worth, forget the Red Book, not worth the paper it's printed on with old stuff like this.
If no one offers anything appropriate, then go to ebay with your reserveCheers

standard 2 door, coupe with the small boot in back (not fastback)
http://www.earlydatsun.com/sunny.html [THE RED ONE]
think someone took the original seats out years ago when the belts went in, fender mirrors gone, and she has lost every goddam metal hub cap over the years, apart from that it's the bee knees or the ants pants depending which end your looking at.
she did follow my advice and has kept every receipt since she's owned it (1968 ?) serviced regularly by a few old timer spanners since new.
pics are coming from a mate, as she's in nsw and i'm presently up here in captain bligh land.
have yet to see the car park effect (i do have some mates in the beater trade down there)
pics from santa will be up this week, he's an slr man

anyone know if the japanese are still buying? like they did with the old k series honda 4's and kwaka 900's last century
cheers

Thats a nasty prang! Looks like it needs a new guard and maybe a bonnet. Shouldnt have too much trouble sourcing them though.
Looks like a 67 Deluxe going on the grill

Wow,thats a bigger hit than it looks, and it,s going to knock it's value around,it also looks like it's sprung the near side guard as well as the drivers door.Very hard to place a value without a close inspection. Are those guard flashers correct for that grille and bumper overiders ie.67'?
