I have a 1200 ute and recently fitted a ca18det. All the wiring is in place on the engine, I just need to know where the wires go from the 16 wire plug that comes out of the ecu. I know im not going to need all of these wires just the efi, starter, earths, ect.
The colour codes on the 16 wires are as follows:
yellow/red
blue/white
yellow/green
blue/black
white (thicker than rest)
black
black
orange
blue
black
light green
blue/red
red
green
grey/red
grey/blue

Any help would be very much appreciated.
If all you have to say is go to auto lec than dont bother. I have built/customised everything myself so far and am more interested in the learning than paying some one the easy way.

You have to get or download a copy of the s13 service manual. Bear in mind that most of them and including the one I have is for the euro version and not the jap one and has few minor differences.

I could tell you what pin on the ecu goes where from the manual but to look at the car and find the colours first makes it a time consuming process.

Also I searched CA18DET in google images today and it came up with the wire diagram out of the manual and the pin outs from the ecu.

The 16 pin white dash loom connector is not really used. Except for the tacho wire yellow w/ red stripe.

Get the S13 manual. And learn to trace the pins.

Also DL and print the japanese wiring diags I got 14 years ago.
