New windshields & replacement panels

Last year I bought a new windshield from Pilkington Glass but since I had not removed the old one at that time I wasn't sure if it was correct or not.

I pulled the old one the other day & overlayed the new glass & it was a perfect match! Good news for a change when it comes to parts.

so if anyone wants a new windshield there were a few coupe models left at the time I purchased mine - cheap too, about $150 ea. (US). et me know & I'll look up their info for you.

does anyone know of any panel suppliers (front fenders & lower valance) that will ship to the US? So far I've had no luck & I'd prefer new vs. pounding out my dents if possible.

Thanks all.

As of last week, Pilkington had two new Coupe windshields left.

There is a guy in California selling a brand new Sedan windshield on Craiglist this week. He wants a lot for it, but if you want new it's the only one I know of.

There are US companies that sell panels (for Ford, Chevy) from those taiwan suppliers... if we could pre-order it seems one of them would be willing to take our money and the supplier could slip a few Datsun parts in the container

DD, you better snatch that glass up, nobody had new for sedans anymore. How much did he want for it?

So are you going to contact those suppliers & get those panels comming? I could use them right now, instead I'm spending hours pounding out the belt line of the fender & using a shrinking disc trying to get it right. Its working but time consuming.

I'll take 2 fenders & a lower valance please

I could use a new windshield. Mine is okay, but extremely pitted. Please PM me the info or post it here. Thanks!

Duncan -
Pilkington Classics
4458 Alum Creek Drive, Unit C
Columbus, OH. 43207

800 848 1351

Make sure its the Classic division

Part # FW00237 coupe shield - have them confirm it, I paid $150 plus $100 frt & tax.

I think the glass for my 02 GMC is about $400 so I thought it was a great deal for an obsolete part.

Good luck!

Thanks, and YES that's a good price. I contacted PPG once, and they sell them for $400-something plus shipping

The Sedan glass is the same as the Ute glass. which is still in production, as we all know. ~AU$180

Not sure why getting a Sedan windshield is a problem. Certainly is no problem in Australia.

Well I am just assuming that Shipping from Australia to USA would be over $200, let alone the price of the glass. Maybe we should get a shipping quote.

In USA no glass shop carries -- or can get -- sedan glass.

BTW, reported by newspaper: B140 production is scheduled to be replaced by the new pickup in July. Although previously they reported end of year, and that has come and gone...
