do the black ebay panels need to be striped and reprimed before painting i have a feeling they do

yer ive been told to sand it back lightly and then prime it again. well thats what my panel beater mate told me to do. can anyone else confirm this?

Yeh mate thats the way its usually done, brings up a better finish

when i painted mine just scuffed em up with some scotch brite then flicked a bit of colour came, then rubbed them a bit flatter and buffed came up tops

you need to sand them down and prime them. if you paint over the black the paint doesn't hang on as well.
