Mate - your lucky. My first day on my P's - went thru a round-a-bout - fast - cop see's me - pulls me up. Got a warning. 3 days later - driving fast - another cop see's me - 3 points gone. Since then, random infringments and 1 loss of licence.

Now im on a motorbike...

Well - sounds lucky to me... in SA that used to be instant loss of license on your P's - I presume it still is.

A friend of mine (I haven't had my P's in many years ) recently got done by a camera 3 days before getting his full license - he received the fine after he actually had his full license and was told he was to be disqualified. He went to court to appeal, saying he would happily pay the fine, and cop the demerits on his full license, but the disqualification seemed a bit harsh.

The outcome was he got his license back, but his P's were extended for 2 years... he will now be on his P's till he's 23! He was less than 15km over the limit.

Wow they are harsh down there!

I waited till i was 18 to get my drivers licence, since getting teens into cars is a scam to force em into the workforce at menial jobs.

One time i got stopped doing about 112mph in a 70, but got off because he couldn't get a lock on me, how fast were you going... faster than i should have been. true it was about 3am, or i wouldn't be doing that.

They are like parking inspectors these days.
Revenue, revenue.

If only they could be undercover and catch all the idiots throwing rubbish, cigarettes, smoking and talking on mobile phones.
Also the revenue money needs to be better spent and the 100K spent on training each soldier to fight for oil overseas should be used to keep army personel here keeping suburbs safe and ridding crime on the streets. Im sick of hearing how many elders are mugged these days.

We only get 4 points on our P's in QLD and I lost them in one hit in 06'. Was about 4 months ago during my good behaviour period (1 point for year) and I got booked for driving through a yellow traffic light (like millions of people do each day) and the fine for that is 3 points and $245, much nastier in my situation.

Good news though is that I have my health, apparently

try loosing 10 points in 3 weeks. it ended up costing me about 1000 bucks i couldnt believe my luck as i hadnt lost a point for 5 or 6 sixs of driving then i lost 4 points on the way to work doing 160 in a 100 zone and the cop only wrote it up as 29 over then one week later 3 points in brissy picking up parts for my datto , and then 3 points on the way home from work a week later again. from my 8 years of driving the only points i lost were in those three weeks, never learnt my lesson tho
