Hi Leo,

Did you get the alloy cover (at the beginning of this thread) or the chrome cover?

How did the price jump from $330 to $400 Aus for a foreign sale? If anything, it should have been cheaper as the BST [blood sucking tax] should not have applied.
By my reckoning, the purchase price should have been $300 Aus which converts to $277 US at todays exchange rate.

Please don't anticipate a lot of synpathy from this side of the pond in regard to the exchange rate though. I bought a whole Dodge Hemi engine in the US, shipped it from Kansas City to Seattle, then home & my dollar bought 54 cents US at the time. [that was on a good day, ..... it went to 52 cents at times]
Your dollar buys MORE than $1 Aus even now.

Dodgeman, would the Blood sucking tax to which you refer be the one that was introduced by a short bald liar who in 1995 in the run up to the 1996 general election said and I quote " There's no way a GST will ever be part of our policy, never ever". or is it some other blood sucking tax?
