Me and Pro are contemplating dropping one (a 1UZ-FE) into my new ratwagon. Full cage, big diff, slushbox and a special little(well rather big) surprise to help it along.

Donno if we're doing it yet but its definatly a option

Just be aware this will ruin the handling, having all that weight up front...

yeh but even an sr20 will affect the handling a fair bit, it's 70kg more than stock and a 1uz is 110kg more. a v8 would destroy any hope of being a good handling car (unless it's one of those 'busa v8's).

it would need sandbags in the bed to keep it from doing stoppies and being really scary to drive.

It wouldn't really matter how the car handled as it would be a straight line car. You couldn't get the thing roadworthy and it'll be a disadvantage on a circuit, so the only logical reason for such a conversion is for drag racing purposes.
