More information required?

What do you mean buy it dies when turbo spools up?

Does it start and idle?
Can you drive it at pre boost rpm?
Does it cough, stall etc when the turbo starts producing boost?
Do you have a boost gauge? To tell if it is producing boost?
Is the Vac line from the compressor wheel connected to the wastegate and boost control box thing (Sorry cant think of its name)

Silly question but maybe fuel filter blocked?
How about the computer, standard or been changed to the motor requirments?

it might be the tuning of the ecu too much air to fuel or vice versa. it also could be your fuel system not working eg fuel pump, injectors ....

the actuator...

It will more than likely be the fuel system. start with new fuel filter (if you are using a directional one don't play funny buggers and put it in backwards)

run some injector cleaner etc in the tank.

maybe hotwire the fuel pump and ignition (use the existing power wires as a signal to turn on a relay that has power directly from the battery)

ummm... reset ECU (disconnect battery -ve over night overnight)

perhaps it might be worth seeing if it smokes when it "dies". if it smokes it may be a lack of compression (rings are shot) if it doesnt then it suggests there is not enough air or fuel.

maybe take it for a run without an air filter.

is the actuator or the wastegate sticking/stuck open, we had a problem similar to this at work on a xr6 turbo ute
and that was the problem

Try checking your cat converter. If its blocked up a bit it will let the motor work to a point, then when you start boosting there is nowhere for the gas to go effectively choking the motor.
