Carby and fuel preasure questions

Just questioning if a "facet" type fuel pump will be enough to run a sidedraught carb on an A series motor? If it is suitable do I need to run a fuel preasure regulator?? and also what preasure should it be running at?

I hope someone can help.

Cheers. Adam.

Most Facet pumps are rated to around 200hp. They run around 3-5psi which is ideal for carbs so no real need for a regulator. I use one to run twin 1 3/4 (45mm) Su's no worries.

Adam,I run a small facet pump on the KB10 and is feeding a single 45 sidie on an oval port manifold,no regulator,no problems with too much pressure or float lift or needle and seat issues to date.
Cheers
Robert

The manifold is a highly modified round port, with an extra plate tig'd onto the face, then machined out to match the inlet ports and smoothed out as best we could internally.
It absolutely runs rings around the poxey 32/36 down draft, and no bonnet issues in the KB10,it's even giving reasonable fuel consumption and is easier to drive with great flexability

All my standard pumps Of the required type required kits thru them to operate 100% and when you have electric ones lying around and dirt cheap compared to re kitting old ones it's an easy descission to make.
Cheers
