Hilux brake conversion query. which disc??

G'day guys,

I've read the couple of threads floating around about the hilux 4 spot conversion and gathered a pair of calipers. I'm just confused as to which disc to use. Somebody has said to use a DBA919 = S13 SR20det disc but has also suggested that it is the same as the U12 Pintara disc DBA903.

The S13 SR20det disc is 280mm diam and the listed U12 Pintara disc is only 258mm and is DBA617 and then smaller S13 disc option is 250mm with the same offsett DBA918.

280mm seems too big to fit on the stanza strut with no adapter for the caliper. Can anybody confirm if it is infact the smaller 258mm pintara disc or the smaller thinner 250mm S13 item I need?

Thanks in advance

I can recall reading that the hilux conversion was suitable to still use 13" wheels, so my guess would be the smaller rotor

thanks turbo12.

In the DBA catalogue it mentions an 86-87 prelude with a 262mm disc and then. I imagine that's the one?

After that there is 87-91 model which uses a 282mm disc. This would be too big.

Just confirming that it is the model with the 262mm disc?

you want the ca18 s13 discs

and yes 262mm is too big, they can only fit a 255mm in the housing from memory

Yeah pretty sure its the smaller one so you can fit them under 14 inch wheels. Also when you bolt the calipers on you will need to use some washers to space the caliper out about 5mm otherwise it hits the disc.

Something doesn't quite add up. Is there a smaller honda legend disc that is not listed or does the 262mm disc actually fit?

I dont doubt that the 250mm S13 discs fit but if the legend discs fit I'd rather go with them.
