I thought I'd finally post a pic of my lovely beast as well as some of the parts I bought today as a lot.

Heres the beast;

I know this is a valve stem seal but I've never seen one with a metal base, their obviously brand new. Anybody know anything about this style?

heres the load of stuff I picked up today

heres my new (old) 4.38 rear end

I even counted the teeth to make sure

The guy I bought this stuff from said he bought all of it from Datsun comp in the 80's

These came with the car, their 12's but I just bought a set of 4 exactly like this in 13's as well, they should polish up nicely, anyone ever seen one's like these before?

So, there she is in all her glory. I've sworn this will not become one of those projects thats still not on the road 5 years from now. I plan on having it painted by summer & on the road by hopefully September. It's a lot of work but should be worth it.

does anybody recognize any of the headers or the valve springs, I was told the springs were Datsun comp 1200 GX, I'm assuming thats correct.

Even after todays purchase I figure I'm into this thing only about $3200 for everything so far & I've gotten almost all the new & replacement stuff I need. I figure thats not too bad.

thanks all.

Good on ya, especially that 4.375 gearset.

The valve stem seal is stock Nissan type, they work good if you fit brand new guides to the heads. Otherwise use the umbrella ("ford" type) seals, they work just as good and continue to work even after the guides wear a bit.

The wheels are PS brand wheels,
GT model.
I was going to buy a set of these back in the early/mid '70's.I don't think that the
company's around anymore.

I like those stands must make it alot easier to work on the body and move it around. Looks like a good project best of luck with it all.

I made the stands as welding project to brush up on my welding skills & to get familiar with the new welder, it helped quite a bit. They work very well, the car moves in every direction so its easy to maneuver around.

Thanks for the wheel info, as I said I picked up a set of these is 13's too, thought I'd mix & match ft. & rears.

How off will the speedo be with 13's in the rear instead of 12"s, anyone know & can I swap the drive/accumulator gear in the trans with something from a later model B210 or 210 series to correct this?

Unfamilia said " hope it came with a 5 spd", sadly no. Anyone got one they want to send my way
