Hi this is the first time I have visited this site, I am a girl and live in Sydney.

I recently bought a 1964 Honda S600 coupe with ............wait for it............... Datsun 1200 running gear!!!

Engine , gearbox and diff, whilst some may see this as detracting from its originality, I see it as adding to its "ralleyability".

It has a custom twin stromberg setup and goes Great .

I will up load some pics as soon as I get the hang of the site.

Welcome to the forum HG & i promise not to say anything about a non Datsun related Nickname.

Well you are off to a good start with Datsun power but i am most intrigued about the twin Stromberg install as you don't mention what kind of Stromberg carbs. [They made lots of different ones]

If you can't post a picture, then send it [them] to me [e-mail link below] & I will post it [them] up for you as I'm sure there are many who would like to see it [them]

I'm sure the A-series is more reliable than the original engine ... which had a 10,000 RPM redline

And it's probably faster with the A12 (69 hp) instead of the 600cc engine (57 hp).

My brother has organised to buy Vixens 13 inch chrome rims for it, the brakes are yet to be investigated.

nice ride. i've got an s800 convertible myself.
A series was a common swap in the honda s600/800.
i've got an A10/3speed from 600 with a very interesting cable/hydraulic clutch set up.

...back on track, awesome car engine combo, if you need to know anything(honda) give me a PM and I'll try to help.
