Help wanted WA. Suppliers of EFI stuff A series conversion

Hey guys.

I need some info on what I need to do to get the fuel from back to front.

Where in WA can I get the metal lines for the fuel, I need 5/16 lines right?? I obviously need a surge tank.
Where is the best place to mount it? also placement of filters and pumps would also be cool.

Fotos would also be great.

The stock 1/4 fuel lines are just fine for an A-series motor fuel injected.

Surge tank is not needed, unless you are racing, or want to run the tank down close to empty. The surge tank is for when you are cornerning and the main tank is low, you don't want it to get air. So factory EFI tanks have baffles in the main tank (they don't use a surge tank).

You dont really NEED the larger fuel lines like dd said unless you have a massive HP engine that needs it.

The benifit of using a new line is that you can use the existing line as a return line to the tank.

As far as getting it, any performance shop should help you.

The turbo guy that I am dealing with is really helpful, and should be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi Datsa73, which your twin carbs, the 1/4 fuel line is OK?

Here in WA, you can get 5/16 fuel lines at any parts store, such as Schucks. Get a crimper tool to make the ends from the plain tubing.

Haha hes in the Aussie WA! Not the US WA!

But yeh give reubens guy a call or maybe try somewhere like ENZED (usualy expencive) or another hose maker.

I think the ideal is to put the pump closest to the fuel tank, and the filter before it too.

Hi Liam,
I used 5/16 brake tube from the fuel pump up to the injectors and the original fuel line back for the return I mounted the surge tank and pumps under the tray I will take some pictures over the weekend if you want. ALYZ engineering in midland welded some injector bosses into the A12 manifold (which I think I got from you) made a fuel rail to suit and adapted a toyota 65mm throttle body onto it.

As for parts I used alot of 2nd hand toyota,mitsubishi and holden camaira gear off EBAY. I am using a stinger 4424 computer (also 2nd hand)

hey Brad. yer got the manifold off me. good to know it is goin to good use. I am experimenting with motorbike quad thotts. I have the regulator can I use any fuel pump. will i kill a falcon/commodore fuel pump if i reg it down to 50psi??

I am running stock fuel lines and I get more than enough fuel through my duel carbs. Currently using an aftermarket electric fuel pump@ (I believe) 12 pounds of pressure.

I am seeing an engineer next week who does aero work and he is calling me an idiot for wanting to put a Weber on my A series.He has told me that an early Swift sedan (90's)has an injection body that will bolt onto a datto manifold with not a lot of work.Then you need the electronic dizzy and a computer though.I will check this out next week and let everyoine know because if this is correct then it will be a reasonably cheap option.
