hey fellas jsut finishin up on my wiring for my dato 1200 ute ca18det just wondering if anyone came across the S.M.J box?? semi multi junction! just wondering if i need it or dont. thanks guys

Not sure what you mean. Have not got wire diagram here at moment. Where is it in the car and the circuit?

That's just a 'big connector'.
To wire things up, just focus on the sensors on the engine, and trace the wires back to the ECU. The remaining wires can mostly be removed. With the exception of the fuel pump, and dash wiring for tacho, and or speed sensor wiring, if not using a mechanical sender in the gearbox.

yer cheers mate i stared the wiring yesterday n finished it yesterday only took me 3 hours! i done that n yer have heaps of unnessacery wires. hope to get the fuel set up done this week! so i can fire her up! at the moment all i can do is crank it!

hey dattodude got another 1 for ya! knock sensor?? wat the go with the earth sheildin over the sender wire?? mines been cut to the shut house n dont no were to connent to the plug i dont want the earth to be crimped with the other wire

Yes the knock sensor is a shielded wire and it has two wires inside the shield. The knock sensor itself is on the drivers side of the car in the block below the intake plennum. And it runs back to the ecu,

If the wire is damaged then you can get this same wire, as we use it in the electronics game all the time. It needs to be shielded and cut it right back at the sensor and run a new piece right back to the ecu. Both wires go back their anyway. Just make sure its a good connection at the sensor with heat shrink and the braid covering the two wires.

sweet man do both wires crimp on the same plug that goes to the knock sensor??
