Indicator Troubles...

You gotta love old cars. My indicators on my 1200 are giving me the ####s at the moment. I've tried tinkering with the indicator housing, cleaning the contacts and all that in there. The indicators work when perfectly when the car is still, but once I start driving, they sometimes don't come on, or they'll click off early. Anyone else had this sort of trouble? I've put a new steering wheel on, so is it that? Cheers guys!

It will most likely be the flasher canister, that's the little relay that causes the lights to go on & off. Any parts store should be able to sell you a new one for a reasonable price. A mates pulsar was doing exactly what you say your's is doing & a new canister fixed the problem. 1200's usually have a 2 pronged canister, as you get them in 2 & 3 pronged varieties. Have a look up under the dashboard & you should be able to see the old one.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
