EVERYWHERE!!!!

And that's why we love them, classic not plastic.

But really, top corners of engine bay, sills, rain gutters, rear quarters. Sedans rust in the lower boot corners and tail lights.

i forgot to add i have been into datsuns for about 8 years now as my brother owned a 1200 ute and a granny spec 1200 sedan but they both had minimal rust so i havent really got any idea about rust on them, i cant find a pic of the sedan but here is a couple of photos of his ute he sold about a year ago, it has a fully worked a15 with twin 45mm webbers anyway onto the pics:

Have a good look over the vehicle as the outside appearance will give a good indication of its condition.

You will pick touch ups and bogg in the panels if it handy man done (most of the time)

Check under the car for rust along the chassis rails, look around the plennum in the engine bay, check the lower corners of the front guards near the doors and the floor in the boot.

Rust here can be repaired but it depends on your budget and time as their may be better examples arround for the same $$$

Also try and get one that has all the trim (interior and stainless highlights) as these can be hard to get.

A good tip for isolating the bogged areas of interest is to take a fridge magnet as they are reasonably weak and are handy for picking up where bog is and how thick it is. Pratice on a car where you know where the bog is.

Yer very nice example. If the sedan is rusty but going for cheap $$$$ then mite be good to still grab it for the parts, hard to get genuine
