Way offtopic, whorida's girl I don't know if you can answer this but are you legally allowed to ride a postie bike on the footpath?

seeing as i ride a pushbike...yep! its legal.

as for the motorbikes, yes. unless you are on your way to your depot box to collect the next lot of mail, and have no delivery points between where you are and where your depotbox is. or if you have finished your beat. that is my understanding of it.

i have my booklet around the house somewhere that would clarify it but in one simple answer YES it is legal for a postie to ride on the footpath.

EDIT: now if you OWN a postie bike, then no as its a proper road bike.

posties have permission to ride on footpath in the above stated circumstances, but if you just own a postie bike and deliver junk mail, you do not actually hav e permission to ride along peoples lawns or along the footpath.

Thanks!
