what can i do about putting upto 300hp through a A series gearbox |

hey guys have a E series turbo motor connected to a A series gearbox. i suspect in the future now that im getting forged pistons and a bigger turbo i will need to upgrade the gearbox. may have upto 300hp so what do i do to get some strength? is the celica 5 speed conversion strong enough?

depends how you drive it, if you smash 2nd and 3rd too often with that sort of power it wont last long at all.

Don't change gears, and only use brand new gearboxes or gearsets. Basically even the best A-series blokes never put more than 200hp through their boxes.
300hp..tell him he's dreaming ..time to look for the delco 5 speed Toyota box conversion bellhousing..

The celica steel case 5 spd should cope with the power and torque.

I dont think anyone makes a kit for steel case toyota 5speeds.

or one of topgears straight cut gearsets....if any a series gearbox stands a chance it would be one of his
id say adapt a supra box to it

Or get some sort of auto made up to suit... if straight line stuff is what you've built it for.

How about a holinger SD6. Supercar box. Only $20,000. That should hold up!
