Adrian over the years I have seen plenty of round port single Weber manifolds, but have never seen an oval port (GX) single Weber manifold.

Adrian please disregard my previous post, just because I have never seen one doesn't mean anything, Canon make the manifold you want, don't know where to get one but they are out there.

like this? It was an oval port single weber manifold that I got from the US (via Ebay). Haven't seen many others, but they do exist.

Adrian, ideally you will want to find a matched pair of Webers or Dellortos, that have already been jetted for your size engine, as the rejetting and tuning of these carbs can become a bit of a financial drain, especially if you describe yourself as poor.

If you find a pair that are good to go as they are with only a small amount of fettling you will be ahead as its not unheard of to spend a grand on dynotuning a pair of Webers.
