Whats the difference in 120y and 1200 coupe struts?

Hey all im looking into doing the s13 brakes onto 1200/120y strut conversion.

After reading Cheater_5's write up on the conversion he used 1200 coupe struts but what i wanna know is, are 120y and 1200 coupe struts the same in all aspects/dimensions so i know weather i am able to just use 120y struts and follow cheaters guidelines.
