Here's a secret I would like to share with everyone.
I have installed a Fiat Tach in my 1200.
It came out of an old Fiat convertable.

See the Pic page under Installing Fiat Tach.

If your willing to trim material from your cluster board (the material that sets back the factory tach like the speedometer), then the Fiat Tach slides right in. Negetive to
the negitive side of the coil and positive to the ignition.
After that it is just hooking up the light display. Piece of Cake.
I payed $3 for the tach (guy at the junkyard didn't know what it came out of) so I scored.
He has more of them and I found another junkyard in my area (Washington State, USA) with more. They're out there.

Any 4 cyl tacho will work.
I used to use 1200 tacho's in Corollas (mounted in simple custom console between gearlever and dash).

Beware that 1200 tacho's are not very accurate at higher revs.

Also beware that positive earth cars (some old weird European models) and/or 6V cars (old Euro's
again) are not compatible.
