hi guys just wondering if no 2 cylinder big end failure is common in ca18det i pulled apart my engine after hearing loud knock ended up being the pistoon hitting the head the big end had completely removed itself from the bearing cap/journal. does anythinjg cause this is it a normal failure point on a ca18det??? lucky i run castrol edge or i dont think it wouldve been this little damage

I'm no expert, (far from it) but there's something in the monster ca18 thread at ozdat (I just joined) about a gallery blocking wedge having a tendancy to come out. Maybe this was your problem.
