Hi Guys

I have thought over the weekend and also after seeing some granny spec projects of changing my GX back to original form.
I have somewhere the loovers that was in it when I took it over from my mother a couple of years ago. Must just look for it.
Putting the original 12" rims with the GX hubcaps on and dropping it 1 or even 2 inches front and rear.Votes please.
Currently it looks like this :
Linky to photo of how it looks currently.

Granny Spec.

It does look mighty fine as it is though.

Just a quick Q, how do the Bakkie struts differ from the 1200? Discs I suppose, are they a BIG improvement? We have a few Bakkie's here, just don't see them as much as I used to.

I vote for granny spec. I recently removed my aluminum feet and put the stockers & hubcaps back on. Now it is "low profile" but more surprisingly people ask about it.

@clyons8
The only difference is with the position of the caliper and the disc size.
The caliper of my old GX setup was at the back.This has been changed to the front. The brake pads are a bit bigger than the GX and the caliper is a more modern one with a bigger piston.
The disc is about 5mm smaller in radius than the GX one.

Come on guys, I need more votes.

i'd say just lower it 2 inches all round and put some nice silver minilites (watanabes) with polished lips on her.

In the end it's your decision, but I agree with wolki101 here. They look mighty fine with them minilites, and it looks closer to original than with yoru current wheels. Those 12" tyres are more expensive than 13" if you could find them.

If you do decide to change it, I'll buy your wheels from you...
