I have a Nissan Alternator which is approx 13 years old and the car has done 220 000 kms

The alternator is very noisy and at 2000 rpm or less it is struggling and every time you change gears the headlights dim.

My question is can you buy a re-build kit? Can it be pulled down and the bearings and bruches replaced? Or is it best to get a Bosch replacement?

Cheers

its quite easy to pull down test and replace most components in an alternator altho even these days some auto electricians dont find it profitable or worth the hassle, id say just buy a new one or a reconditioned one
