I know this might not be the first thing on peoples minds when stuffing something a bit more fun under the bonnett
But what sort of fuel consumption are people getting out of these conversions???
miles per gallon or litres per 100 km

sr20de should be much better on fuel than the turbo ca18det - I'd guess around 8-9L/100km for the SR20DE, the CA18DET probably 10-11L/100km.

(at a wild guess that is - based on the power they make)

high 7Litres/100kms for sr20det, and low 8L/100kms for ca18det.

I drove Sydney to Melbourne on 270mmx9.25 cams and still got 10L/100kms with my CA18det.

A ca18de gets better fuel economy than an A12.

Impressive - I assume that is highway cruising where the whole lean cruise functions get used?

I drive my car briskly every time I'm in it and I rarely see worse than 11 litres/100km during city driving.

Even during track days I've never gone past 14 litres per 100km.

not exactly the nicest on my ute, gets driven everyday in peak hour, and rarely see much over 10L/100kms, even on club cruises its not much more than that, maybe 12L/100
pretty damn good for a performance car, dont think the ca's are as lean when their in a 180sx but haha

I get around 7L/100km on long trips at 120km/h with the a12... does a CA18DE really do better? The S13 board guys seem to be quoting 12 - 15 L/100 (not much better than a CA18DET).

Real world s13 mileage (s13 board)

The silvia guys are dragging a lot of lard around. Take 500kgs out of the equation...it's like towing another datsun.

With the A12, do you have 200hp on tap ?
I strongly doubt that even a 100hp a12 would get anywhere near 10L/100km.

The standard A-series does wonderful things... it just doesn't them as good as an 18 year old CA18
