Have a look at your Rego papers under engine number the first three letters numbers should tell you say A12 or A15, 1200, 1500. From my memory. Also on the engine block you will identify it. The thing is Do you want to know the size of it Or what Be more specific. Cheers Andrew

the engine number on the rego papers starts with A12
the previous owners said the motor in it now is out of a 120y. whats the diff. between the 120y motors and the standard 1200 ute, sedan wateva.

diffrent design dizzy is under number 3 cyl while the early a12s had it under the 1st cyl engine mounts are also different

Your ute would of had the later model A12 if its a 77. Same as the 120y A12 maybe slightly different not 100% sure, nothing to be worried about, is it the same motor as on your rego sticker?

havnt been able to c the engine # on the engine. im pretty sure where it is ( when lookin down on the motor, on the left side of the block at the back just under the head)
is the # on one of the plates coz i cant read most of mine

the engine number is located just near the distributor on the side of the enggine block.
