does anyone else have this annoying problem?
i have a 1200 ute, my steering shaft has play in it, and its not from left to right, its up and down. its really starting to #### me off and anyones help would be appreciated, if anyone could tell me how to take the steering shaft out that would also help.

Yes, it is very common. Ute has same column as cars...the solution is to replace the bushing up by the steering wheel. Details: steering column bushing repair
