I made a mistake and sold mine years ago. I am now just getting around to putting my old b210 rear end in my 1200 and the rear bolt pattern on the b210 is different than my 1200. It's been so long, I wouldn't have a clue if the 2 driveshafts are the same lengths.
I made the B210 diff into a Lincoln Locker and I want to keep my 1200 diff and driveshaft to swap in and out.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.
Ernie

Overall units are same length, but different rear flange, and front sections are different lengths.

For details, measurements, pics, etc see Driveshaft

Thanks Dave.
For the drags, I need better traction. I spin at the line to much and 2 wheels are better than one.

Thanks benddatsun.
DD says he has one and he's stopping by tomorrow with it. He's going to look through my boxes of stuff and see if he needs anything.

"Lincoln Locker" -- depends on what brand your welder is. I reckon Lincoln is one of the most popular.

Lincoln Locker

So datsa73, other than using the B310 driveshaft and different spring/shock mount plats, did you have to do any modifications to the B210 rear axle assembly to fit the 1200? Brake lines, or anything.

Well, I am ready to race this friday!
Your picture of the Lincoln is basicly what mine looks like but I guess I would call it a Miller Lock because that is what I used.

After installing the diff which is identical in width (but is a bit beefy'r), I had to install the old springs from my B210 which luckily I stll had. Misplaced the U-Bolt brackets but ended up making a new pair.
The rear mount for the leaf springs had to be swiveled back to accomidate the longer springs. After they were installed, I drove and noticed a clunck noise in the back end. What had happened was that the rear bracket swiveled back to far and dropped the car onto the springs. Good thing that the car was still high enough to not hit the tires.
So, I reset the springs and rear bracket where I wanted it and then welded a stop bracket at the rear end so now the springs are set. Flex on the springs but no flex back on the rear bracket so better traction at the line on takeoff. The ride seems no different other than a slight shimmy around corners.
I also ended up rejetting my carbs and constructed a fuel cooler can. Just install dry ice and away I go. I am looking at moving up into the next faster bracket at the drags this friday.
Filled the NOS bottle the other day so I won't be running out this time although I still took first last race.
Hope to see DD there with his Ute.

How did you set up the nos? is it like a fogger plate between the carb or are you using it with fuel injection?

I am using the intake hole normally used for the crank case relief pipe. It's been so long since I removed the one-way valve, I forgot the name of it. I just threaded in an injector for the fuel and nitrous.
With dual downdraft carbs, I get a great air/fuel mixture.
You can feel the difference.

interesting engineering! so what is supposed to happen as your springs compress and elongate???

"better traction"
