After a lot of time and money I managed to fit a CA18DET to my 1200 ute. A couple of questions though for those of you who may know -

1. I installed a Stumpy gearbox and would like to know whether there's a way to get the 1200 speedo to display the correct speed.

2. I also installed a set of R31 rear brakes, removed the valve from the master cyclinder, installed a Wilwood proportioning valve and I'm still getting rear brake lock up. If anyone has any ideas on this it would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I used the aftermarket cable from Maddat. Have bled the fronts and the car had passed a previous engineering cert when I had Stanza rear disks. Haven't touched the fronts since.

The valve in the master cylinder keeps pressure in the line for drums. Not required for disks.

I used the setup off the R31 for the handbrake and made a custom bracket to mount it at the diff. Everything else is stock 1200.
