was the a14 head round or kidney shaped if its round it would have lowered the compression

dont really know what they come out of but they are designed to be higher compression... have a read thru the tech section theres a whole thread on different heads.

does yours have oval ports?

i run the round head with oval ports on mine but thats only because i need less compression for the turbo

well I know putting an a12 head on an a14 block is a backward step, the bigger valves should make your car rev better, but if u have dropped the compression the improvement would be lost.
