help with rim offsets??..

ok ive read heaps of info on rim offsets and it still confuses me!! so i need someone to conferm this for me...

13 by 6jj (total width of 165mm) with a +15 offset = a backspace of 97.5mm ??? am i on the rite track??

sounds right to me... 0.5x165+15=97.5

+15 on a 6 should fit no problem unless your running offroad 4x4 spec sidewalled tyres.

I think the backspace figure is far more useful than the offset figure. The offset figure often confuses many as the offset figure alone will not tell you if the wheels will fit the struts as it is dependant on the rim width. The backspace figure is easier to use as with our B110 you are in the zone from ~ 110mm - 125mm.

agreed, back space is a lot more reliable than offset to ensure rims fit out 1200's. especially once you factor in stanza front disk conversion etc.

ive got 13x6 jelly's with 115mm back space and the 175 pirelli's have about 3mm side wall clearence on the b120 drum struts
