Sometimes it just pays to check with your Nissan dealers parts counter.

This Datsun 1200 Blinker switch is on offer on eBay for $125 as a Buy it Now deal.

I bought one about four months back from my Nissan dealer & got change from about $95. It is still a listed item, ex stock Melbourne. There was no freight or postage involved either as it came in a general shipment of parts to my dealer.

In my case the warehouse in Melbourne was out of stock but a new shipment turned up within a week & I picked it up about 4 days later.

There were two blinker switch part numbers for 1200's but the newer one supersedes the older & it remained unchanged for the remainder of 1200 Ute production. [at least untill 1992 & probably untill 2008 for Bakkie production]

Sometimes it just pays to make the call to your friendly Nissan parts man.

Oh yeah, he originally had 5 available & two people have paid the $125 & bought one each.

Just for grins......and anybody in the states
25540-h1006 $155.78 (usd)
25540-h1007 same price
both of these numbers show on back order.
25540-h1100 $69.13 (usd) no longer available.
Dodge, looks like you did make a good deal.

Looks like they're the same part numbers for both left & right drive cars as my Aussie [right drive] parts books has confirmed.

I have seen more than a few threads here where someone has asked where to buy some part or other & it's obvious they have not cultivated a relationship with their parts man at the local Nissan dealer.
C'mon fellers, Nissan dealers sell Datsun parts & the more we buy the longer they will remain on the books.

There are enough of us here with parts books/microfiche to come up with part numbers to thwart the lazy counterman who fobs off customers with some lame excuse about not having a parts book any more.

That's what this forum is all about.

As for my blinker switch, the price I quoted was what I paid for it at the time of purchase about 4 months back, but one would need to ask in order to get todays price.

Define "Late Ute Dash"
Do want the whole dash, or the instrument panel fascia or ?????

Yes, almost all the "new" parts on eBay are far more expensive than the dealer charges. Lots of new inside mirrors are selling for 30+ dollars, but they are less than that at the dealer. I just bought one two months ago, and it fits my '72 perfectly.

Frank, many part numbers are listed in Datsun1200.com wiki, including the steering column bush numbers.

the part number has been posted on this site before I know. Maybe a search will turn it up?
