Wondering if some 1 can help me as to wat front struts and disk brake upgrade to make. they need to fit a 15inch x 6.5 Wheel with 195/50R15 Tyres, will just a bolt on 120y struts do the job or do i need stanza 1s or something else?

pretty sure i can get 120y 1s from u pull it.

it all depends on how much power you mighty machine has. the 120y standards are quite pathetic but better than drums and the stanza is a good cheap upgrade. you can alaso buy a adaptor to fit ca18 disks and calipers to the standard 1200 strut or 120y strut

depends on the offset of the wheel mainly in your case...as you can adapt pretty much anything to anything if you are keen enough

120y and 1200 struts will require a 0 or negative offset to fit the wheel in due to the different stub axle angle. where as stanza struts and other bigger struts a +20-25ish offset should fit well and still just be in the guards

hey

thanks for your help fellas, i just looked at my wheels and it has got ET38 stamped on it. 38mm offset.

im thinking i may need stanza stuts or use spacers on 120y 1s.

cheers mate, im running small spacers on the rear to stop them hitting the leafs, but yer, if any1 knows if they will fit on a 120y front end that would help as im lookin for a quick change over. im only running a stock engine so they should be good enough to pull it up i think.

in short, without spacers they wont fit on any thing except for maybe r31 struts

will need decent sized spacers for 120y struts 20-30mm at a guess, and probably 15mm spacers to clear stanza struts

just going off the fact that r30 rims are 15x6 and about +20-25mm offset and dont clear stanza struts by a whole heap

that offset fits on bluebird struts? sure someone hasnt swapped them for r31 struts at some point? basicly the same strut but with shorter inserts and different stub axle angle

coz if they fit on bluebird struts then they should fit on stanza, 200b, 180b etc struts
