J15 Engine swap!

I was looking for an A14 engine on the net and i found a really cheap one then i asked the guy about it and then he told me that is a J15 engine! Is this a good engine? Where can i find more specs about it? The transmition is the same of the A series?

J's are older, han only three main's, shared intake port's. would maybe be a little more powerfull than a stock a12 but not much I wouldent think?? these motors were rplace buy the A series and nissan did so for a reason..

this engine also came in the datsun 620 ute's but then got replaced by the L16. Apparently the J15 had a good torque range but was a work horse and slow

Datsun 1500 1 tonners had them. NO top-end but pull a brick dunny over. Great motor if you are building a mud buggy or a tractor.

Might as well use an L series for weight as the J is cast iron top to bottom
