smart arse aren't ya!!!!

hahahaha

my telstar IS an auto but the write off is through no fault whatsoever of mine..the neighbours 2000 land rover ( big 2.5tonne) was broken into n put into neutral n rolled down their driveway across the road n into my car...just missed going through the garage door and into the ute!..at least the wagon on the other side of the garage thats mroe important!!!

btw their drive way is really really really steep...he takes a few minutes each night trying to reverse up it.

m looking for something herein nsw preferrably sydney...luke has given me a pretty decent figure to play with..either i can get a datto auto wagon with rego n ready to go or i get a brand new ( demo) 4WD n i would much rather a auto wagon

Out of curiosity, If , as a group we all banded together and helped to get another daily datsun for you... Would that make us all responsible for the death of a datsun when you write it off??

I must be getting old and sooky - but for a daily driver that I put my kids in I'd look for something a litte higher up the ANCAP rating tree than a 1200 wagon.....

It's hard though to find something safe and good to drive that also looks good - even a 120Y will be a lot safer than a 1200 - that's where the extra 150+kg went I believe.

i hear you mildman on that one, id be looking at some thing from the 1990's as a minimum for safety.

No point going new or even ex demo now, especially as used cars are so cheap and resale values so crap.

I admit i have got a subaru forester as family car and they can be had for very decent $$$ now days and top the ancap for used cars year after year. Was just beaten last year by crv i think.

Yeah kirstie. Good call.

My wife (still feels wierd saying that : ) ) is selling her 3 dr barina for a more family orientated vehicle and we are opting for a stock 01-02 rexxy. Safe for the family, awesome resale value and a pleasure to drive. The all round package.

As much as we all have a love for the datto, i think everyone will agree when it comes to family there is no compromise.

Luke says getting the wrx would be good as their resale is excellent, and would give me chance to get an idea of what kind of power i am looking at with the wagon....now i dont know if i want any of them....the boost in the wrx scared the #### out of me in all honesty and now i am re considering the ca in the wagon and making it stock.. i am so not comfortable in the power n the wagon will be even more then the wrx.

he luaghed at me when i said that too.that it scared me..at least i can admit that i am unsure as to whether i can handle that let alone the wagon.
