This is way off topic, but has anyone got one of the star lawn edgers from bunnings. They look to be chinese but of reasonably quality for $200. Curious to know how they perform or how reliable they are.

I have got minimal edges but the old 2 stroke I have now is due to be burned and s#its me with its reliability.

Cheers

got a star mower cheap cheap cheap. cylinder threw a blade whilst mowing lucky i had the catcher on. runs well but cheaply made buy a decent one. managed to weld up the blade but the cost of a new cylinder was 1/3 of the mower. the guy at the mower shop said they are false economy I think i believe him.

bought a stihl whipper snipper from cashies 15 years ago. had done a fair bit of work and was cheaper than the ryobis that were still shiny and clean.
well i put a new spark plug in it this year because i felt guilty and it got a new set of clutch shoes because one lining came off.
i use this thing for hours at a time on full song.
best thing i ever bought!
go stihl

We bought a McCullough whipper snipper from Bunnings for $169. It's way more meetier than the Star and cheaper. It runs like a dream and butchers those bastard edges!!
