I am just about to start my project and i am in need of some help.

I am going to put a CA18DET engine in my 1200 ute and was wondering what gearbox would be the best. I have been told a CA gear box will fit and the shifter should only sit about 15cm rear of the old shifter point. Or go and get a R30 stumpy with a CA bellhousing.

Is there a prefered gear box for this converstion

Thank you

did you get a box with the ca?,

S13 silvia there just standard boxes.....if your not using silvia gauges cluster then you must use a L series speedo drive to replace the electonic one in the CA box, cables from Maddat.com

I am not sure what colour i will go yet. White always looks good at day time but it gets bright at night time unless it is dimmed right down.
