Thought I would post up some pix of my nearly completed CA Coupe. Have had this car for 5 years now and it's been a long process to get it to the current point.

The vehicle had some major panel damage. The roof had been crushed where the vehicle had been lifted by a hiab. The doors were re-skinned with custom made door skins.

I have fitted the CA myself and fabricated all components myself. The aim was not for huge horsepower but a nice street car. The most rewarding bits was the fabrication of the intercooler setup and custom sump.

This has been a full nut and bolt resto and everything on the car has been touched up.

I still want to lower the front slightly and I need to get the front spoiler painted. I manufactured this from a CCS Spoiler as I had to cover the intercooler for rego purposes. Its a shame given the effort which went into polishing the intercooler plumbing.

STOCK CA18DET
*PWR intercooler core with custom piping.
*2.5 inch exhaust which I fabricated using mandrel bends
*Custom Sump
*Custom swaybar
*Hydrolic clutch with Econovan slave cylinder on pedal assy and remote resovoir.
*180B Master assy for brake setup.
*Running Stanza brakes and struts.
*Vechicle is at standard ride height

Interior maintains the original features with OBX Race seats and battery located in the boot. Have made custom door trims and made suttle mods to the dash the incorporate extra gauges.

Body took the most amount of work and was worth it given the car was rust free. The roof is probally 95% perfect but was badly squashed (does not show up in pix) The doors ended up costing me a grand with getting custom door skins made and then getting a panel beater to help me fit them. Tried everywhere for door skins and 2nd hand doors at the time. Their is the odd ripple in the body but I have allready painted this car twice and cant afford to do it again. Should have picked a colour that does not shop up imperfections so well.

Really nice work, looks like she's come a long, long way. Love the fact that you've concealed the intercooler tastefully. I reckon it looks sh1t when people have them cut into the grille.
I like it

That looks great!
The engine bay has a factory appearance to it. Very well thought out.
I really dig the colour too. Is it a custom mix or is it factory colour from another maker?
