ok so yesterday i bought 3 1000 2 door coupes, for a rather reasonable price with two being complete for $250. and i got a 253 and various celica rear end parts thrown in plus some 120Y disc brakes whenever i want them. was my lucky day but thats no the point.

i kinda converted to ozdat, sorry guys but this place has heaps of info too. im keeping my 200B stock instead of sr20 conversion, and rebuilding one of the 1000's with an already DEAD STRAIGHT body. so i need to ask a couple questions:

1. i possible have a a12 turbo set up, so a12s can be mounted straight into it?

2. can a14's be dropped straight in? any possible cross member mods?

2. i am putting 120Y front struts in because ive been told they bolt straight in?

3. what would i do about the rear end suspension?

4. turbo-ing an a12 might cause the 1000's diff some problems, anything that fits well?

minding this car will hopefully on the road asap, and a nice quick conversion as i just would like to see it on the road (it hasnt been since 1990)

cheers guys

Chris

P.S. i only went to ozdat because i couldnt remember my password (and email), and didnt want to start a new account.. bad excuse

Not sure why i'm bothering, maybee i'm just in a bad mood.
Simple answer:None of the above will BOLT STRAIGHT IN!
Struts in a KB10...i reckon about 3-6 months solid work if you are any good at fabrication and good enough to get it engineered for rego...and on it goes

Enjoy Ozdat

If you hav any fabrication skill's any a series is a fairly easy swap..

And a 74 onwards gearbox and ute diff are tugher! but still require some fabrication..

All the info should be in the wiki <---

1 - Yes, early A12s bolt in. Late A12s need some very simple mods
2- Yes very simple mods needed. Do a search in the Wiki.
3- No, 1000s dont have struts! They are double A arm!
4- Nothing fits well! Well if you want some nice offset rims anyway. 1200 ute diff might work if you run FWD(GAY) offset wheels.
