We use stock 1200 rubber mounts when swapping a newer engine

Everything is the same height if you modify the engine mount-bracket.

For a 1974-up A12 to replace 1970-1973 A12, follow the directions for A-series Engine Swap.

Naw, keep your lower mounts unmodifed. Just modify the top mount-brackets which come with the new engine. No need to modify anything about the chassis.

Dunno about the sump. 1974-up engines have the dipstick location moved right next to oil pump.

Yes. The electronic distributor is designed for newer engine, so no modification should be needed. I suspect you'll need to swap the base plate with a newer one.
