Check out today's daily telegraph, page 96. Whole page snap shot on the 1200 ute.
Features David Falzon's original fully restored 1985 Nissan 50th anniversary 1200 ute. Looks very neat. Article mentions he was offered $30 grand for it and declined. Damn!

Why would he decline 30 grand? With that you can buy two top utes, or by another and pocket 15 grand.

Everyone has the same story. I don't doubt he was offered it, just doubt if the offerer would have actaully come up with the money if he said yes!

"Ninety-eight percent of them (Datsun 1200 utes) are modified. To have one of them in original condition is very rare,"

Well said and very true.

I don't like how they state the Datsun 1200 ute as being in the same 'vein' as the Jumbuck....

Ouch.

The only thing they have in common is Asia.

That's almost double the actual weight.

Maybe it's 50th anniversary badge?

I daresay they've read the weight in lbs and written it with a Kg after it.
1320 lbs = aprox 600 Kg
