sedan axle into ute diff???

How hard is it to put a sedan axle into a ute diff (80's model ute diff) and if there is any modifications that need to be done?
Is it even possible?
Is it not a good idea, ie. weaker?
Help would be appreciated.

Nope different tailshaft and a headf$#k. Just get another post 74 ute diff. There about, or at least start a thread for a set or one axle.

Just get another axle, you could probably buy one from nissan.
