Hi Guys

is there any way that we can identify malfunctioning spark plug ? will malfunctioning 1 spark plug stop car starting ? how do you identify goo and bad spark plugs

Remove the plug and look at them.
Check the gap.
Tan: Good.
Black: Engine problem
White: problem

Hi ddgonzal

is there any way we can find it while the car start ? i went to my mechanic because car was slowly yesterday ? while the car is in start he removed the plug top 1 by 1 and told me 1 plug is not working , then i replaced the plug then after car was ok.any one know how he can guest that ?

While engine is running remove the spark plug wire (lead) from the plug.
* If the engine slows down, that cylinder is firing nicely
* If there is no difference that cylinder was not working

But you can get shocked doing it...use insulated pliers or leather gloves.
